About Us
How We Operate:

BAGCI Members meet weekly to dicuss future plans for BAGCI and the welfare of the children. Members collectively come up with the money that buys the breakfast requirements. Parents of the children who access the centre take turns to volunteer to cook breakfast during the school term. A Project Coordinator supervises the preparation of breakfast and makes sure that all the children are fed. He then provides a detailed report to members at the weekly meetings. The Coordinator is the only paid member of the project.
Who We Help

Funding

It costs £111.00 to feed the 147 children for six weeks, which equates to 2.5p a day per child. BAGCI is community-run. Community members donate to support others in the community, raising millions of shillings from their own pockets. External financial contributions to the organisation come from friends & visitors to BAGCI from UK; the biggest contributions coming from the Marr Manning Trust (£6000) and Friends Of Children Of Uganda – FOCUS - (£2500).
